Whether you could save it or not, what was your biggest card disaster?

I've done the sooo annoying, and so avoidable one of spilling a cup of tea over a finished project (it was able to be saved )

I've stuck things down, then pulled them off to reposition... tearing.... and cut one saide to make it match, then the other, then a bit more, till it's far too small.

Nothing very exciting... so let's hear about yours....

I've had a board for a bit, but not really used it. So today I thought it was time to go for it I've had a brilliant day... used the Media board and the Eastern Promise and made lots of cards I've used the kimono quite a bit and love the bamboo for backgrounds.

What boards do you/have you used? Do you have a favourite? How about the triple boards?

TECHNIQUES WITH KITCHEN FOIL

Just wondered if anyone had done anything with tin foil before as I saw an article in a magazine where they spray mounted kitchen foil onto card and then die cut it.

I'd really like to have a go at this but don't want to fork out for spray mount if it doesn't work very well.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Found this little gem on another site yesterday -

Cover peeloffs while still on sheet with your stickles and allow to dry well before peeling and sticking.

I haven't tried it yet but there was a lot of good feedback for it. I might have a go tonight so I'll let you know how I get on.

Ribbon fiddlings!!!

That was a mouthful

We made a card in the workshop yesterday with ribbon... a flower with ribbon for the petals. Simple, but looked very pretty

Used some of the pull bow ribbon we have in at the mo (we have lots of different colours), dd likes it because she can create her own bows, which she wouldn't otherwise be able to do

Simply Stickles

As the stickle goddess isn't around at the moment, I'll tell you about the gorgeous little wonders! Our resident expert can add to it later

Stickles come in little bottle, and are basically glitter glue, but not like the gloopy stuff that you'd let your children play with. It's applied through a fine nozzle, and you can use it as an accent, highlight the centre of a flower, dot it all over the place, or even draw or write with it. They're addictive little things

I've got a book on cardmaking with peel offs and one of the projects involves craft foil for dry embossing with, but i've never seen it anywhere. I've tried ordinary tin foil but it seems to be too thin and tears too easily. Can anyone help?
