Quality of the singing was a bit dodgy, especially Pierce Brosnan, but on the whole it was very good. Julie Walters was hilarious!

I've been making cards with acetate. We have some quite thinck embossed acetate in th shop, and it makes lovely cards. There's a pic of one of them on my blog, though I don't think it photos very well

I have 5 zebra finches, 3 large goldfish and 2 bunnies(boy and girl). We have had budgies before too!

Allotments and gardening

We really want an allotment, we're down on the waiting list.... but... we're number 40 on it (and that was the shortest waiting list, it would have been 120 on another).

We want to start growing potatoes, broccoli, peas, onions... we've just got a compost bin so we can start composting

Hi

Wondered if anyone had any ideas to help me out ??? My youngest son - 9 years is taking part in a walking float for his school breakfast club in our local regatta ( was hoping to escape for the weekend but no chance of that now) he has to dress up as a sea creature as they are called the Ocean club. We are going on holiday in 10 days time and only get back a couple of days before the parade, so if anyone has any ideas for a quick and easy fancy dress costume I would be very grateful .

What a beautiful day after all that rain. We've been up to Burnby Hall Gardens at Pocklington for the day to see a falconcry display and have a picnic. We went all prepared for rain with unbrellas and coats but didn't need them at all, it was lovely. Hope everyone else had a good day too and got to enjoy the sunshine.

Hi everyone, what you all been up to, me not been on forum for a short while but just popped on now and my, is it quiet on here. Where have all the peoples gone???

Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your week, I have been poorly yet again, I started with a virus thingy on thursday, then got really bad temp, then Tue morning woke up to horrendous rash all over body and my left leg and hand where swollen terribly, went to doc and he said my immune system is shot to pieces and I have reacted ...

Hi all, just needed to share, on Thursday evening I dicovered maze books, lovely I thought, and promptly stayed up until I'd finished one. I'm a fairly new scrapbooker so was very proud and took it to show my crafty friends at the parents group at school on Friday. By 10am I had agreed with the head to teaching the whole of key stage 2 to make their own book to celebrate a school anniversary and to make one for each of the key stage 1 pupils to decorate themselves, that's 330 pupils -160 books ...

I bought some of these stamps at the weekend.....and OMG.....they are sooooooo lovely!!!

You've all got to invest in some of these. They're really beautiful. I've even done one in goth colours to put on a goth card and it's worked really well.

I know they won't be around for long as they're so in demand so I'd def say get them whilst you can!!

Whats everyone been up to this last week? I've not got a great deal of crafting done but I did do a double scrapbook page on sat night (it needs a bit of journalling and finishing touches but i'm quite pleased with it) and a couple of cards. Has anyone tried anything new or been anywhere good. Have you started your new jobs yet SG and DC?

... everything is going wrong, we're having the bathroom done out and bits are missing or don't fit, things are not turning up on time and I'm getting really fed up. We pushed the boat out and decided to get a plumber in to save on stress (we've done bathrooms before ourselves and its a nightmare) but its still all going wrong (not the plumbers fault I must add). I've been stuck at work so can't really sort anything out and I want to cry...

Exciting times ahead for Fingertips

As well as our monthly workshops... which are just getting better and better! We are now also planning some 'inbetween' afternoon workshops on specialist techniques.

Our first one is... Faffing with Flowersoft... they'll be all the Flowersoft pots to play with as well as some of their new toppers and some great ideas and cards to make.
